Here are some common questions about Nu Day.
THCA (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) is the naturally occurring compound found in raw hemp plants. In its unheated form, THCA is non-intoxicating. When smoked or vaped, it converts into Delta-9 THC through a process called decarboxylation — producing the effects most people associate with cannabis.
Is it legal in North Carolina?
Yes, for now. Hemp-derived THCA is currently legal in NC under the 2018 Farm Bill, as long as it comes from hemp with less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC by dry weight. However, a federal law passed in November 2025 redefines hemp using a "total THC" standard that includes THCA, set to take effect November 12, 2026. We monitor all regulatory changes and only carry fully compliant, third-party lab-tested products.
